Atelier Clips

A private tool that prepares short, credited clips and uploads them to its owner's own YouTube channels.

What it is

Atelier Clips is an automated tool run by one person, for their own use. It finds videos whose creators allow reuse, cuts a short vertical clip from one moment, adds captions, and uploads the result to the owner's own YouTube channels after the owner has reviewed it.

Credit and permission

Every clip is credited to its creator, with a link to the original video and the licence it was shared under. The tool only uses videos that carry a Creative Commons Attribution licence on YouTube, or that come from a creator who has publicly allowed clipping. Creators can ask for a clip to be removed through the channel it was published on.

Who can use it

Nobody else. Atelier Clips is not a public service and has no accounts for other people. It signs in to Google only as its owner, to upload to and read statistics for the owner's own channels.
